The initial concept involved creating a workstation with easy access without cluttering the desktop area. To achieve this, I devised an enclosure design featuring three 120mm fans behind a fan cover. The main advantage of this design is that the enclosure under the desk can be sized as needed without occupying usable space on the desktop. For reference, renders are available with additional information. This innovative and distinctive enclosure stands out from other brands in the market. Cost-effectiveness was a priority in my design; I used bended sheet metal for the enclosure (avoiding complex curves) and designed a small plastic front on the desktop which can be produced at a lower cost since two of these fronts can fit in the same size mold as the current one. My entries for this challenge are the BOXX Elegance, Floating BOXX, BOXX MPO, and GRAB-BOXX.
