GR8 PI2 ( Raspberry PI case )
thingiverse
Hi again! Here's my next version of the GR8 PI Case Version 2, and I'm excited to share it with you! After listening to your feedback and requests, I've taken the air out of the last design by creating a shorter, more symmetrical version that still packs a punch. This new version is about 1.5 inches shorter than the original, making it even more compact. I've also made sure to optimize it for a 10mm thick 80mm x 80mm fan, which I've found are usually 5v x .3a. This means less stress on your Pi's power supply, and you can breathe easy knowing that your device is running smoothly. Plus, as always, you don't have to run a fan if you don't want to – but it was what inspired me to create this new design! This case is designed to be completely snap-together when printed, with some extra spots for hardware in case you want to take it to the next level. I've used a Monorprice Dual ext printer with no rafts or supports, and a resolution of 0.25mm. When it comes to post-printing, I recommend using #6 x 1.25" long Philips head screws to connect layers 1 and 2, and 3mm x 10mm screws to attach layer 3 to layer 2. Just remember to clear out the Pi board hold with a 1/8" bit. Enjoy your new case, and feel free to share some feedback or show off your makes – I'd love to see them!
