GPU Vertical Mount - PC Custom Case
thingiverse
I built a custom PC case and relocated the GPU using one of these PCI Express riser cables: https://amzn.to/2E9GIUd (affiliate link). I recently acquired a new GPU and decided to relocate it to make more room in my case for future upgrades. I purchased this cable on Amazon, which offers a variety of styles and lengths. The product page is linked above if you're interested in purchasing one. To keep the GPU at an angle that would allow air to flow underneath, I designed a mount/bracket to attach it to the top panel of my case. This was necessary because I plan on adding a polycarbonate panel to the top of the case soon. The design consists of two pieces: the GPU Mount and the GPU Mount End. The first piece should print with supports on, while the second can be printed without them. I chose to break the design into two pieces to account for any variations in GPU faceplate designs that may occur. The fit between the two halves is designed to be snug but not too tight, making it easy to assemble and disassemble as needed. You can use glue to secure the two halves together if desired.
