GPU-Bracket (EVGA 1080Ti-FTW3)
thingiverse
Hello, After discovering that the EVGA 1080Ti-FTW3 card wouldn't fit in the Louqe Ghost case, I started experimenting with Inventor to find a solution to use my expensive GPU in the new case. This bracket has only been tested with an EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 card; if you find it works for other cards, please let me know here or in the Ghost S1 slack community! Since the entire card is lowered, the original bracket wouldn't fit anymore, and this solution addresses that issue. It won't be as rigid and strong as the metal original but should still be suitable for everyday use. Don't expect to be throwing around the GPU with it! Note: You need to remove the old metal bracket to install this new one, which means unscrewing 3 screws from the backplate and the connector screws on the back. In the future, I plan to make some small changes: 1. Better stability/rigidity in the structure; there should be space for it, 2. More ventilation if it doesn't compromise stability, 3. A frame for the inside of the connector-area to make it more stable, 4. Maybe removing my naming logo/kanji from the bracket. PS: Rotate the bracket so that my text is facing upwards to achieve a better finish in the end... Check this out!: In another slicer software, I noticed that the scaling was off. The height of the whole piece should be 5.9mm! (Edit: only for v1) Version 2: Small changes have been made to the bracket: - Additional material has been added to the center "spine", - Some material has been removed from the top where the shroud touched the bracket, - Aesthetically pleasing ventilation-holes in the bracket have been fixed. I haven't had time to print it yet, but overall, this version should be problem-free. This version also seems to scale correctly. Thanks to Jeramy S at Ghost_Slack for pointing out some mistakes and offering helpful criticism!
