GPS Tray for Losmandy G11 Tripod Leg
thingiverse
I needed to find a solution for mounting my GPS receiver on the tripod, as it kept falling to the ground due to lack of provision by Losmandy. To resolve this issue, I used the leg clamp from DTBob's cradle and connected it to a custom-made box via mistertech's ball and socket joint. The slot in the tray secures the GPS wire. The original design had limitations when the tray was pointed straight out, causing it to flex excessively. To address this problem, I intentionally angled both the ball arm and socket arm at a slight vertical angle. This modification allows for stable positioning while still enabling rotation around the leg for easy access under the mount.
