GPS mount / holder for F450 F550 S550 multicopter frame
thingiverse
This is for mounting a round GPS / compass module on top of the F450, F550, and S550 multicopter frames from China. The distance between these two holes measures 64mm for the F450 and 100mm for the S550. Feet for the S550 use two screws per side, while those for the F450 use only one screw per side. Screws are M3 with a nut included, and it's best to add a washer from the bottom side if possible. The "cup" holding the GPS module is screwed down onto the "girder" using two M3 screws and a matching nut. To ensure accurate readings, use stainless steel, brass or plastic screws and nuts made of non-magnetic material. One model has a 19mm notch in the middle; otherwise, they are identical. Instead of printing pillars, I used 8mm aluminium tubing with some force to secure them into place. A soft-faced hammer helped ease the process. Carbon tubing can also be used. Since creating these parts myself, I've added recesses on the cup parts for easier module removal. UPDATE: Added a single feet base plate with custom holes and an adapter to attach the "cup" to a single 8mm aluminum tubing.
