GPS Foldable mast for FPV airplane
thingiverse
Here's my final version (V3) of a foldable mini GPS - naze Mini mast for a FPV airplane. Installed and tested for several hours, this latest design overcomes the brittleness issue that plagued previous versions, which were prone to breaking at the bottom part of the mast. The total height is 65mm from the support, ensuring a safe distance to avoid electromagnetic interference (EMI) without generating excessive drag. The folding mechanism only allows movement in one direction, safeguarding the GPS module during transportation or hard landings. Print Settings: Printer: Prusa i3 RW mod Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: Refer to notes for specific instructions Notes: Print the mast and support with 100% infill, then print the second piece with 20% infill or less. Printed in ABS plastic Post-Printing: Carefully sand the parts to ensure smooth movement, then check the folding mechanism. Drill a hole for your preferred screw (mine is M3x20mm) to secure the assembled components.
