GPR Isosurface of Mississippian Structure

GPR Isosurface of Mississippian Structure

sketchfab

The GPR data render shows the burned Mississippian structure at Parchman mounds site, Coahoma County, Mississippi, looking north. Initial discovery of the burned structure came through magnetic gradient analysis. The southwest corner stands out within the structure's interior in the GPR data towards its center, while the northeast corner is completely invisible. A second structure partially appears to the west. Data collection utilized a GSSI SIR3000 and 400Mhz antenna at .25 meter intervals. Processing occurred in GPR Slice, exporting as an XYZG volume, and visualized in Voxler. Magnetic gradiometer data more easily identifies this structure.
