GoWORX Style Universal Smartphone Mount. I designed this mount from scratch, drawing inspiration from the GoWORX freeride style mount. I wasn't confident in existing designs on Thingiverse that relied on elastics and springs for compression hold, nor did I want to incorporate hardware like threaded rods and nuts. So, I came up with a variant that met my needs. I wanted a fully printed smartphone mount that was strong, reliable, and ready to use right off the printer. This mount allows you to use your smartphone with all your existing GoPro accessories. *Printing orientation, wall thickness, and infill are critical for strength, so be sure to read the notes if it's not immediately clear.* I added a small compression spring from an old RC car strut that sits around the screw in the mount. This causes the mount to open automatically as you loosen the screw. While not necessary, this feature does make the mount function slightly better.
