A regulating device controls engine speed by adjusting fuel quantity based on load changes. Assistance is needed for defining frictional damping accurately. Three methods exist in Creo Mechanism for simulating friction: 1) using equivalent viscous coefficients, 2) enabling friction at connections during dynamic analysis, or 3) defining 3D contact with various options. The last two techniques were applied in a governor model, but results differed; determining the appropriate method for the current model requires understanding of each technique's applicability.
