Govan 11 (Stirling Maxwell's numbering; ECMS 9) stands out as one of 31 early medieval recumbent cross-slabs originally documented at Govan Old in 1899. Currently displayed upright against the wall, this monument would have originally lain flat in the churchyard, likely marking the grave of a significant early medieval figure. This monument is fragmented and was reused. The lower part of the monument was probably lost after 1856, as recorded in the Sculptured Stones of Scotland. This 3D model was created as part of Dr. Megan Kasten's PhD research, available here: http://theses.gla.ac.uk/74266/. The 3D model was created using SfM photogrammetry with Agisoft Metashape and edited with Zbrush. While the download of this 3D model is free, donations to the Govan Stones Appeal are welcome to support the preservation of these historic stones.
