Govan 18 (Stirling Maxwell's numbering; ECMS 7) stands as one of thirty-one early medieval recumbent cross-slabs originally documented at Govan Old in 1899, and one of a select few featuring angle-knobs. These ancient monuments would have lain flat in the churchyard, likely marking the final resting place of a notable early medieval individual. Reused for the burial of William Bogle between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries, this topic has been extensively explored by Tim Clarkson on his blog. This three-dimensional model was created as part of Dr Megan Kasten's PhD research, available at http://theses.gla.ac.uk/74266/. The 3D model was crafted using SfM photogrammetry with Agisoft Metashape and refined through Zbrush. While the download of this 3D model is free, your support for the Govan Stones would be greatly appreciated through a donation to the Govan Stones Appeal.
