Govan 17
sketchfab
Govan 17 (Stirling Maxwell's numbering; ECMS 35) is one of 31 early medieval recumbent cross-slabs originally documented at Govan Old in 1899. This monument is now displayed upright and against the wall, but these markers would have been placed flat in the churchyard to mark the grave of a significant early medieval figure. The design of the monument is remarkably similar to that of Govan 19. This 3D model was created as part of Dr Megan Kasten's PhD thesis available online at http://theses.gla.ac.uk/74266/. The 3D model was generated through SfM photogrammetry, utilizing Agisoft Metashape software, and edited with Zbrush. Although the download of this 3D model is free, supporting the Govan Stones by donating to the Govan Stones Appeal would be greatly appreciated.
