Govan 14
sketchfab
Govan 14 (Stirling Maxwell's Numbering; ECMS 32) ranks as one of 31 early medieval recumbent cross-slabs originally documented at Govan Old in 1899. Now displayed upright and against the wall, these monuments would have originally lain flat in the churchyard, likely marking the grave of a significant early medieval figure. This monument was also reused between the 17th and 19th centuries, as evidenced by the addition of initials T H A H. This 3D model was created as part of Dr Megan Kasten's PhD research project, available at http://theses.gla.ac.uk/74266/. The model was constructed using SfM photogrammetry with Agisoft Metashape and edited with Zbrush software. While the download of this 3D model is free, consider supporting the Govan Stones by donating to the Govan Stones Appeal if possible.
