Gothic Fountain
thingiverse
A revamped image of Providence's Gothic fountain, located near the Athenaeum library, was reconstructed using 123D Catch technology. The fountain, built in 1873 with funds from Mrs. Anna Richmond and fed by the Pawtuxet River, features a granite inscription inviting all to drink. It's said that visitors who do will return. The Athenaeum, founded in 1831 and opened in 1838, was frequented by writers like Edgar Allen Poe and H.P. Lovecraft. Tutorials on editing the scan are featured in "Scanning in 3D" and "Make: Ultimate Guide to 3D Printing." The original scan can be viewed online.
