GoTek floppy emulator mini casing

GoTek floppy emulator mini casing

I crafted a diminutive casing for my GoTek USB floppy emulator board, shrinking it down to its smallest possible size while mirroring the design of my Amiga 500's top panel. I rejected the original GoTek casing's look, deeming it unappealing and intended to be concealed within something. The PCB slides into place from behind, while a snug press fit secures the LCD in the opening. Holes beneath allow for fingers to guide it into position. The board is locked firmly once the external cable adapter is connected to the back of the GoTek board after inserting it into the casing. To secure it to my Amiga, I employ double-sided tape. To avoid leaving residue on the Amiga when removing it, I suggest first applying an easy-to-remove tape, such as kapton tape, to the top of the Amiga and then adhering double-sided tape on top of that. For a matching beige finish, I took my Amiga's trap door cover to the paint shop and had some paint mixed specifically for painting the printed GoTek casing. Please note: reselling this design is strictly prohibited.
