GOST 8762-75 (KR40H4) Coupler Set ============================== This prototype design is for a GOST 8762-75 (KR40H4) Russian gas mask thread coupler set, designed to facilitate male-to-female or female-to-male; male-to-male; and female-to-female couplings. It aims to enhance cross-compatibility of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) filters with other manufacturers' respirators during the PPE shortage. This is particularly crucial for PAPR (Powered-Air Purifying Respirator) hose compatibility or system expansion, as well as for added standoff height for 40mm x 4 mm, GOST 8762-75 (KR40H4), threaded filter cartridges clearances depending on other manufacturers' half or full face respirators. Disclaimers/Risks: ============== 1. Use Proper Gaskets To ensure proper seal maintenance between cartridge and threads, requires 40 mm OD gasket or o-ring on the interior GOST 8762-75 pocket. 2. Perform Proper Negative Pressure Test Follow SSPs established by your institution or workplace for further guidance. Adjust straps till taught against face, ensuring no obstructions around the periphery of the seal against face due to hair, facial hair, or otherwise. Exhale deeply and cover all inhalation ports. If you're running only one filter, ensure the opposite port has a filter cap in place. Now inhale deeply; the mask should suck tightly against your face without any air leakages. Re-test if adjustments are required at gasket/o-ring interfaces at the adapter. 3. Use At Own Risk – Temporarily Solution Only Until Supply Chain Normalizes Due to 3D printing materials' properties, they are not resistant to many solvents, water-soluble, and degrade when exposed to chemicals, heat, and UV/sunlight. This is only a temporarily ad-hoc solution against biological contagions.
