Gosper Curve Coaster
thingiverse
To prevent vacuum formation beneath glass due to condensation, an optimal coaster design was sought without long straight cliffs created by bumps. The Gosper Curve proved useful for this purpose. New versions of the coaster files fix previous slic3r issues and are thinner, eliminating the need for scaling. V3 files offer improved positioning and better slicing results; users are encouraged to utilize them. The zip file contains the OpenSCAD file required to generate two STLs (previously processed through Netfabb). SVG files, sourced from Wikipedia and edited in Inkscape, help create the necessary DXF files for fabrication. Currently, the author is attempting to print the coaster for the first time; updates with pictures and OpenSCAD files will be provided upon successful printing.
