Gort the Defender
pinshape
I've known my childhood friend since kindergarten and now her boy is about to turn 3 years old. We have a full-sized Gort that lives in a doughnut shop called Rocket Donuts, which is the best place in town. He thinks Gort is his favorite knight, so I put a sword and shield into the hands of i3Dnaked's 1950s Space Robot. I made the shield look like something a Viking warrior would carry and designed the sword to pop out of his hand when you lift it because giving a tiny plastic sword to a 3-year-old can be a problem. I want to thank i3Dnaked for creating such an awesome Gort-like model that I could use. This was my first time using MakerWare, which is really great by the way. I used the medium setting with .2 layer height, 2 shells and 10% infill. The print job was done on a replicator using ABS plastic.
