The species designation for this primate is Gorilla gorilla gorilla, as identified by Savage and Wyman in the year 1847. The common name given to this specific subspecies is Western Lowland Gorilla or Gorila occidental de llanura, and it's also referred to as a Western Lowland Gorilla. This particular specimen has been assigned the catalog number MZB 2010-1163. The spine or vertebral column of this animal features a T4 vertebra, which is consistent with the anatomy of this species. This individual is an adult female, aged nine years and eight months at the time of documentation. She was housed at the Barcelona Zoo in Spain.
