This specimen is a Western Lowland gorilla, also known as the Western Plains gorilla or coastal gorilla. MZB 2003-0544-B is the catalog number assigned to this skull. The cranium measures 159.7 mm in height, 176.0 mm in width, and 315.7 mm in depth. This specimen is male and adult. It was collected from the Zoo de Barcelona in Spain on April 13, 2003.
