This remarkable animal is commonly referred to as the gorila occidental de llanura or the western lowland gorilla. A specimen identified with the catalog number MZB 2010-1163 was found to possess a fifth cervical vertebra, denoted as C5. The same specimen was also found to have a ninth year and eighth month of age, making it an adult female. This remarkable individual is housed at the Zoo de Barcelona in Spain, where visitors can marvel at its majesty.
