Gopro vibration isolation mount for multirotor
thingiverse
Following David Windestal's design from Flite Test, a silicone tube suspends my quadcopter's mount. See photos for reference. This creation was designed using Tinkercad; feel free to edit it online at https://tinkercad.com/things/e9vjlpW3ofq. To assemble, print the design with PLA, a 10% fill, and .3mm layer height. You'll also need eight 4x20mm bolts, eight 4mm nuts, and silicone tubing cut to your desired length. First, insert the 4mm nuts into the silicone tubing with a bolt, ensuring that the nut covers the hole but not the rest of the tubing. Next, put the 4x20mm bolts through the base's holes and screw them into the nuts in the tubing, causing the tubing to pinch between the nut and the mount, securing it. Finally, use four counter-sunk washers to attach the tubing to your frame, again relying on the tubing to pinch between the nuts and washers. The mount will now hang from the multirotor, isolating it from vibrations and eliminating the jello effect.
