GoPro Tray for Diving With Light attachments
thingiverse
I liked Oscahie's GoPro tray, but I had concerns about its durability during my flight to Maui, and I wanted to add a light for night diving. I used stainless screws from the local hardware store to hold it together. The handles are Bell bicycle handles that I purchased from Walmart. Just be warned: I had to do some sanding to get the GoPro mounts working properly. The thumbscrews I have are about 1/8 inch too short, so your mileage may vary. The knobs on top can be used for Snap-Loc hose to remote mount a light, or they work as a finger rest. I used this tray to take most of my scuba videos. You can see the videos on my YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2wEXZ9Bc5M. This is Molokini crater in Hawaii using this mount (I'm not a great underwater photographer). I printed both the top and bottom plates with 90% fill for the base and 100% fill for the mount sections using Simplify 3D. The handles are made of 50% fill and have four exterior walls, top, and bottom. This thing is extremely sturdy. If you build it, please comment! I love comments.
