The 1000 series 80/20 extrusions are designed for attaching a GoPro camera to aluminum profiles featuring slots. To create mine, I used PLA filament at 225 degrees on a Makerbot Replicator 2, requiring supports. In SolidWorks, I precisely adjusted the slot dimensions for a snug yet workable fit.
