GoPro Suction Mount Short

GoPro Suction Mount Short

thingiverse

To mount my GoPro closer to a surface, I designed a short replacement arm for the GoPro Suction Mount using parts from the original arm. This design is applicable for older models of the GoPro Suction Cup Mount that lack this feature. The part was modeled in Solidworks and printed with 4 shells, 30% infill, 200 micron layers, using PET filament from Formfutura on a Rep2. To ensure proper fitment, rotate the arm 5.37 degrees and add 180/90 degrees in odd axes if necessary. Print without supports for ease of removal from the printer. Note that there may be some scraping required around the nut and locking-gear slots; this indicates a tight fit which can reduce vibrations and drag on your GoPro camera. Use this design at your own risk, as it could potentially harm your camera, but it should work effectively for its intended purpose.
