GoPro Sketching Stand

This is an innovative GoPro Mount kit designed specifically for capturing artistic processes while on-the-go. I created it to document my journaling experiences during travel, and I've also developed a version with built-in LED lights to illuminate the sketching area. Materials: * A GoPro camera paired with its in-box mount * A 12-inch long metal square rod (available at most hardware stores) * A 1 1/4 inch binder clip * A #5 Metric hex bolt compatible with GoPro's fastening threads * Stiff board or cutting board * Glue Post-Printing Instructions: After assembling the clip insert and GoPro Mount, follow these steps: Insert a 1/8-inch metal rod into the GoPro mount, securing it with glue if necessary. Insert the other end of the metal rod into the clip insert. Attach the clip insert to the handles of the binder clip. Secure the binder clip to a stiff board or the hardback of a sketchbook. Trim the metal rod to an 8.5-inch length for optimal camera positioning. Designing This Kit: I used Microsoft's 3D Builder app on Windows 10 to design the parts. For the GoPro mount, I discovered a pre-existing design on Thingiverse featuring a GoPro mount and a 45-degree threaded attachment point. Within Microsoft 3D Builder, I inserted a cube and resized it to 1/8 x 1/8 x 1 inches. Then, I subtracted this shape from the mount at the same angle and location as the original 45-degree thread. Using cylinders and cubes, I employed subtraction and union functions to create a custom shape that fits snugly inside the binder clip's handles. GoPro Settings: Configure your GoPro settings using its mobile app: Set Video Field of View (FOV) to Linear for optimal footage capture. Enable Auto-Rotation: Down for smooth video playback.
