GoPro Skateboard / Longboard Mount, and light
thingiverse
I Made this GoPro mount / riser for a friends long board and also came up with an adapter to attach a bike light that I ordered for riding at night. The riser separates the board from the truck by 5mm - as shown in the picture, it's actually 7mm, which was overkill for holding a GoPro, but my truck bolts wouldn't screw all the way on with the original hardware, so I swapped it out. For the mount, I used M5 hardware, which should match what GoPros use. I highly recommend printing this in ABS or nylon because of the vibration from the board. The bike light I used is available at fasttech.com - you'll need to apply locktite when attaching the light and its mount. This light puts out a ton of brightness and runs on USB power, so you can use it with any power bank or 2A USB output! Note: Some of my test model's tolerances were a bit tight, so I tweaked the design before uploading it, and they should be good now. Note: I haven't had a chance to try it out with a GoPro yet - so far, just my flashlight has worked, but I think it'll work fine. I'll update this once my friend tests it with his GoPro.
