GoPro sized case for small board cameras
thingiverse
Watching a video from a fixed-mount FPV camera can be dizzying, especially if you're like me. However, there was no straightforward way to mount small FPV board cameras on a gimbal. Fortunately, many gimbals and mounts are available for GoPros, so I came up with a block that can accommodate nearly any board camera, including the Raspberry pi camera. This block is roughly the size of a GoPro Hero 3 and has a passage that allows you to route the CSI2 cable from the camera to the Raspberry pi. You may need to purchase a longer cable than what comes with the camera to make this work. The design also includes provision for cables or connectors coming from the rear of the board. I printed this block using a 10% fill and four shells, which resulted in a surprisingly light weight of just 25g. To accommodate the changed center of gravity, you may need to adjust your gimbal accordingly. Here are the print settings I used: Printer: Raise3D Rafts: No Supports: Yes Infill: 10%
