Gopro Session Cage with lug at the back

I recently completed my last skydive of the season with a catastrophic failure - my GoPro housing shattered upon impact with the plane's housing. I had purchased this particular housing because it was renowned for its exceptional quality, and I had modified it to mimic the original GoPro housing design by relocating the lug from underneath to the back. Given that my GoPro session is mounted on my helmet at chin level, I needed to ensure that the housing's angle remained consistent when attached to the mount. Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 50% Notes: The housing was printed in an upright position with full support for the back plate, which would later be removed from the building board. As a result, the back surface of the housing appears rough but is less critical to my design. A brief sanding session using a Dremel resolved this issue promptly. Prioritizing a smooth and precise interior was essential for securely holding the camera in place. Post-Printing A larger opening was added at the back. Initially, I printed a version with only two holes at the back, but it proved extremely difficult to remove the camera from the housing. To rectify this issue, I enlarged the back opening by imitating the original housing design, although I ultimately decided not to print the final version. How I Designed This My Tinkercad debut As a complete novice, I designed this housing using only the web-based Tinkercad application to modify the original source code available online. I would like to extend my gratitude to the original author for their work. The printing process at 0.1mm precision allowed the minor cut imperfections resulting from the Tinkercad cut-and-paste process to remain inconspicuous.
