GoPro session 4/5 holder for helmet HJC RPHA 70 for aluminum aftermarket case
thingiverse
I was searching for a removable and really lightweight solution to attach my GoPro session 5 to my helmet (HJC RPHA70). I did not want to glue anything to my helmet. After several prototypes, this is what I came up with so far. There are two files. One file is the holder that goes on the helmet; a support structure is necessary. The other file is for the screw; I printed it without a support. You can probably superglue this part to the holder. You can also print both parts as one, but you will need a lot of support in that case. Additionally, you will need a hex screw (20 mm) and a self-locking nut. IMPORTANT: -The design will not fit with the original GoPro casing; I have an aluminum case from Amazon Germany called Rhodesy. -There is very little variety in the angle; it does not work for me as the camera mostly films the bike instead of the road. It needs some rework! -It is probably not intended by HJC that you mount a GoPro like this on the helmet. Use at your own risk!
