**Warning:** Installing this mod will automatically void your remote control's warranty! I'm not liable for any resulting damage. Since I wanted to avoid lugging around an extra charging cable, I integrated a micro usb breakout board (check out https://blog.adafruit.com/2014/04/18/new-product-usb-micro-b-breakout-board/) into the design. No soldering was required; the charging pins fit directly onto the board. You'll also need 2 X M2.5 10mm bolts and nuts on hand. Here's a step-by-step guide to get you started: * Remove the 4 screws from the back of your remote control. * Attach the breakout board to the top section. * Plug in a USB cable and verify that your remote is charging. You might need to bend the pins or solder an additional cable if your existing breakout doesn't match up. * Secure the remote control to the top section without over-tightening! * Fasten the top section to the lower part. * Enjoy your newly upgraded remote!
