GoPro quick release two-part clip
thingiverse
There are several action camera quick release clips available on thingiverse, but they often come loose or fragile. I decided to design my own made from two parts that can be assembled together with ease. The upper part of the assembly is printed in a different direction than the lower part, which makes it much stronger overall. To assemble the parts, simply slide them together and secure them with some superglue. I recommend using 100% infill on the upper part for maximum strength, while 30% infill is sufficient for the lower part. If you need to install the screw on the other side of the camera, you can easily mirror the upper part in your slicer software. There are two versions of the upper part available, with version 2 offering greater tolerances that make it easier to slide the parts together and fit them snugly into a camera housing. I personally use this design to mount my GitUP Git2 camera on a helmet, but it should also work well for other GoPro compatible cameras. I made some minor modifications to the upper part in August 2016, and added a second version of the upper part in September 2016 to address any issues with assembly or fitment.
