This is a straightforward DIY solution for creating a 2l CocaCola bottle stabiliser, suitable for use with paragliding, hang gliding, and other speed activities. It's worth watching this amazing video to see how well it works: http://youtu.be/bLPfQiRiCgc Instructions To build the stabiliser, you will need: RepRap printer A 2l CocaCola (or similar) bottle M2/16mm screw with nut M5/20mm lag screw with wing nut Party balloon First, print out all three parts of the stabiliser. Attach part 1 to part 2 using an M2 screw and a nut, applying a small amount of glue for extra stability. Smooth the surface of the ball slightly by lightly sanding it, then insert it into the ball-shaped hole in part 3. Cut a portion from the mouthpiece of a party balloon, slip it onto the ball, and insert the rest of the balloon into the hole in part 3. Next, cut a notch at the base of the CocaCola bottle using scissors and add small holes to the conical top part for air entry. Thread the string through the hole in part 3, then screw on the mount like a cap onto the bottle. Before testing your new stabiliser, ensure its stability by holding it firmly over a bicycle or car window while driving slowly.
