Gopro Mount for VDQ250 / VDQ280
thingiverse
The VDQ250/280 Quadcopter by VoodooQuads doesn't come with an integrated mount for a GoPro camera, so I came up with a solution: creating a plate to attach the device securely. This design is intended to be used in conjunction with bobbins, as illustrated in the image provided. By positioning these angled mounts correctly, they enable smooth operation during high-speed flight. To achieve optimal results when attaching directly to the frame without bobbins, adjustments may be necessary - holes could potentially need relocation for flat mounting purposes. I recommend applying a thin sheet of shelf liner material around the GoPro camera for added stability, particularly under the intense vibrations associated with high-frequency operations. Note that it's essential to place the bevels facing down towards the quadcopter frame, as this arrangement facilitates effortless insertion of a Velcro strip. By simply bending the strip slightly and carefully guiding it through, users can ensure a secure hold without compromising performance.
