I recently obtained the incorrect dimensions for a 20mm diameter from some online source, which unfortunately proved to be incorrect. I then proceeded to print the redesigned model, which also measured too small. In an attempt to rectify the issue, I enlarged the entire design by a total of 4mm, hoping this revised size would accurately match. My initial research into the aerobar end caps that I had previously designed and uploaded online (www.thingiverse.com/thing:128368) indicated they fitted seamlessly and were measured to be precisely 22.23mm in diameter. Consequently, scaling up the entire model by a cumulative amount of 4mm would still likely meet expectations. As my intended use is to utilize this new mount with my Garmin Virb alongside its associated GoPro adapter, the enhanced size appears beneficial given that during the creation of an earlier similar project I felt the initial prongs were slightly too compact. On the other hand, individuals relying on an authentic GoPro may encounter a reduced fitting clearance following this adjustment. Key considerations include the usage parameters set as follows: • Gopro_captive_rod_angle=0. • Gopro_bar_screw_shoulder_th=4.5 units. • Gopro_ext_len is established at 20.7 units in length. •Gopro_bar_screw_head_d, equivalent to 4 diametric measures was assigned. •A setting for secondary rotation at a value of '1' (true). • A parameter gopro_captive_rod_id of diameter size equaling exactly 3.8 inches was applied to achieve ideal proportions. • This mount is constructed for attachment on Gopro's captive rods by implementing these following measures: rod_nut_od= 3.6 inches as the length between rod end & the screw end for best fit purposes The purpose is designed around the requirement to include and incorporate this option to be of most usefulness as 'gopro_bar_rod_d'. In fact gopro bar has a diameter equivalent to the stated dimension 20 diametric measure of its width & the corresponding dimensions on length in case required as an ideal reference. Hence rod length measures approximately in actual measure or the said distance for this specific project was specified in such fashion as Gopro's design parameter in its specifications, thereby taking all those necessary options for successful adaptation and effective functionality .
