GoPro Mount For Rode PSA1
thingiverse
I went through 4 different design iterations, each one a significant improvement over the last. The first two were complete redesigns, resulting in cleaner prints with fewer defects. The third version was an interesting compromise - I split it into two pieces that could be glued together, but structurally it wasn't as strong as I would have liked. Still, it was worth trying out. The final version had a much better size and shape, requiring less material overall. To mount this bracket to my GoPro, I had to scrounge up a spare nut from an older mount. The Rode PSA1 is a compact boom arm that collapses down to a small size - perfect for fitting into tight spaces. That's exactly what I designed this bracket to do - take advantage of its smallest form factor. If it doesn't fit snugly, you may need to tweak the scissor arm slightly, but be careful not to overdo it or risk breaking the thing. In fact, I'm already thinking about designing a new version that would only attach to one of the arms, making it even more secure and sturdy. After all, that's what matters most. If you're printing with PLA, I strongly advise going above 5% infill - maybe even heat treating the parts afterwards for good measure. It'll make a world of difference in terms of durability and overall quality.
