GoPro mount for Anet A8 with frame brace
thingiverse
I was on the hunt for a top-notch mount for my GoPro to capture stunning time-lapse videos, but what I found was designed specifically for the Anet without the upgraded Frame Brace that most of us swear by. So, I scrapped it and started from scratch in Fusion 360 using the same design as the GoPro Mount created by Stepher. I made significant changes to the dimensions and used a different holder for my GoPro, giving credit where credit is due for coming up with the original idea. This mount was printed using ABS because I'd run out of orange PLA, but forgot to turn off the fan, resulting in some bent areas on the legs. The design fits perfectly in my Anet A8 with Simhopp's Frame Brace, and I'm using MatteoMeraldi's GoPro Frame instead of the one that comes with mine, allowing me to keep power connected for extended time-lapse sessions. This was my first project using Fusion 360, so it took some time to figure everything out. 05-09-2017 I had to upload an updated version with a slightly longer horizontal plate to prevent the bed from getting too close during the 9-point auto-level process. This change moves the base 10 mm further away, avoiding any issues. Check out this YouTube video showcasing some time-lapse samples captured using this mount: https://youtu.be/a8GB1K12h_Y
