GoPro MAX Slip Cover

GoPro MAX Slip Cover

The lens caps for the GoPro MAX offer excellent protection for the exposed fisheye lenses, but they can easily be misplaced or contaminated while the camera is in use. I opted to try creating a single part cover that would securely clip into place. Initially, I considered designing something spring-loaded like a hair "clutcher" clip, but this would protrude above the camera and provide leverage to open it. I decided to go with a simpler approach instead. The cover slips easily over the MAX, held firmly in place by gentle detent ramps on either side of both lens shrouds. It provides minimal dust protection, but effectively protects the lenses from abrasion. The part prints perfectly without supports. I use ABS on my Ultimaker S5, with Dimafix for adhesion to the heated glass bed. If you experience issues with adhesion, you may need to add a raft or similar solution.
