I designed a supersimple lens protector for my GoPro Hero3, a compact and lightweight solution that's essentially a ring 3D printed in TPE/TPU, which effortlessly slides onto the lens to shield it from impacts. This protective device may not safeguard the entire camera, but it's undoubtedly better than leaving it vulnerable.
