Gopro Kyosho RC car rear mount
thingiverse
Another day, another GoPro mount! Eager to utilize my new camera, I planned to attach it to both my RC car and a custom-printed quadcopter (a project for later). Focusing on the former, I removed the rear arm securing the car's shell and designed a unified mount. The arms maintaining the shell's position are original car components, spaced 70mm apart from the pin centers. Post-printing, I replaced the shell's pins with those from the printed part using pilot-drilled screws for hassle-free assembly. To avoid splitting the part, remember to pilot drill holes before fitting the screws. For the rear window, a small hole was carved to accommodate the arm, and original thumb screws were replaced with M5x20mm cap head bolts for better clearance. Lastly, fit the shell with the clip, fist joint, and second joint cap head screw using an allen key - depending on your shell type, you might use the original thumb screws instead. Happy DIY-ing, and here's to a fantastic new year!
