I got fed up with repeatedly stuffing my Hero3 into a waterproof case throughout the day for use as a dashcam. Part of it was that the black latch on the waterproof case snapped twice, and I have to admit that GoPro handled the replacement parts incredibly well. The current black latch boasts design features that its predecessors lacked, representing genuine improvements. Check if one of these angles works for your windshield. Mounts are securely fastened to the inner surface using 3M VHB tape or a suitable equivalent. You can position the Hero3 to face forward, upwards, or insert it facing rearward, which necessitates flipping the camera upside down – simply invert capture in Hero3 settings. These mounts are specifically designed for everyday commute driving and aren't intended for high-speed activities like desert racing.
