It is the high-quality, low-poly 3D model of a GoPro Hero3 camera used in various fields such as 3D Graphics including game development, advertising, interior design, motion picture art, visualization, etc. The modeling was made by using ortho-photos of the real camera which is why all details of its design are recreated most authentically. Ease of use is that this model consists of only a few meshes, it is low-polygonal (saves resources on your system) and has three materials (Body, Glass, Lens). Whatever renderer you choose to use, this model will always look realistic because of the high resolution, photo-textures. The well-thought-out topology of the low-poly model combined with detailed textures allows for a minimum amount of polygons while achieving maximum quality which can be enough even for close-up shots. For increased advanced realism, these textures are used in addition: Specular, Glossiness, Bump. For the best Bump depth we set the Bump Multiplier to 0.1 - 0.2 in Maya Software materials or V-Ray MTL materials for Maya. The Specular and Glossiness maps set various reflective and dispersing capacities of the different areas of the model that gives the effect of using more materials. A total of four main textures are used. The resolution of all textures is 2048 pixels in .jpg format. Also, there are original texture files in .PSD format included in the archive. This model was created in the 'Maya 2009' 3D program. The model has correct dimensions in real-world scale in centimeters and all parts are correctly named. Also included is an adjusted render-scene created in the Maya 2014 with the renderer plug-in V-Ray 2.40. This scene can be opened correctly in earlier versions up to the Maya 2012 with V-Ray 2.0 because it is saved in the .ma format. The render-scene includes five V-Ray Rect Light + reflectors and has a V-Ray MTL material assigned to the model. To use this model in other 3D programs, scenes are also included in formats such as .fbx, .obj, .DAE, and .max (2010 version). Note: This is a Low-Poly model and it was not designed for the use of any smoothing modifiers.
