Gopro Hero split case

Gopro Hero split case

This is a full case (all corners and edges protected) designed for a modern GoPro Hero model. It was developed with the GoPro Hero 5 in mind, but should work just as well on models 6 or 7 if my understanding is correct. The case splits horizontally down the center and is intended to be secured to a drone mount using a strap or similar accessory. For those who prefer a flexible, one-piece version of this design, check out this alternative: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3122397 With this case, users can easily access both the on/off switch and record button, as well as both front and back screens, plus the lens itself. Both microphones remain uncovered for enhanced sound quality during recording. The bottom plate features a slot to minimize the weight of the case. The protective flaps protruding from the lens opening do not interfere with recording, even when using SuperView mode. The case shown in the images was printed with PLA, so supports were necessary for the overhanging lens area. A second version of the bottom half has been included, which should work better with flexible filaments that don't require supports. However, this variation has not yet been tested.
