To mitigate this, some form of stabilization is necessary. Stabilization can occur in post-production or concurrently with filming. Self-stabilizing gimbals play a crucial role here, detecting and countering unwanted jerks. Achieving this requires sensors and actuators. This project employs the MPU6050 IC, which integrates a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer, further enhanced by its built-in digital motion processor. In software, the MPU6050 is abstracted through the I2Cdev library's sensor data reader. An example program from this library is used in this project to interpret sensor readings. Additionally, a joystick is incorporated to set camera orientation at a desired position (offset).
