After creating a previous design inspired by the Ethix Facehugger, I decided to make a dedicated mount for the TBS Source One based on the Facehugger design because it has proven to be a solid solution for my fragile, non-replaceable GoPro Hero 8 lens. The Facehugger design has one major downside: rigidity. I found that when flying at high speeds with my 6S quad, I experienced an untunable wobble on the pitch axis due to its lack of flexibility. However, the Facehugger design remains a good option if you don't use a TBS Source One frame or want to use your GoPro on other frames as well; just be sure to mount it very stiffly to your frame. If you're using a TBS Source One frame and want to do more cinematic flights or use Reelsteady Pro in the future, I wouldn't recommend this mount due to its rigid mounting to the frame. Check out the Facehugger design here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3945103. I tested the mount with an ND filter from the Foxeer Box 2, which fit perfectly over my GoPro Hero 8 lens cover. Once I received the glass ND filters from TBS (TBS Jello Guard), I found that they didn't fit the first versions of the design, so I uploaded a new version where you can slide the TBS Jello Guard ND filters over the lens from the side. There are three versions available: a minimal and normal version. The print time and TPU usage are about the same as the minimal version needs more supports but once the supports are removed, the minimal version should weigh slightly less (about 2 grams). The regular version should grip on the GoPro a bit more securely, but if you click in the lens properly, it shouldn't move at all on both versions. The TBS Jello guard version is based on the minimal design and allows you to slide a TBS Jello Guard over the lens from the side. To print the mount easily, I recommend printing it on its side with the lens protector facing upwards. I only use supports for the wedge and until the bottom of the lens protector.
