GoPro Hero 8 Black Thread Mount
thingiverse
Being new to the GoPro scene, I found myself accustomed to mounting my action cams using a simple thread. GoPro cleverly designed their foldable mounts, but I prefer the versatility of a standard thread. To address this, I created an adapter that replaces the original part on the bottom of the GoPro Hero 8 Black. This adapter bolts onto the camera just like the original component, requiring only the insertion of a 1/4" UNC hexagonal nut before attaching it to the GoPro. With this simple modification, users can now mount their GoPros on any standard tripod or suction cup. I genuinely fail to understand why GoPro didn't integrate this feature themselves. Nevertheless, I'm confident that this adapter fills a crucial gap in the market. To print this design, orient the flat bottom surface facing downwards towards your printer's bed and include supports within the nut location. For optimal results, infill at 100%.
