GoPro Hero (5+) flexible case
thingiverse
This case is a reworked version of my earlier design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3118551), modified to be suitable for printing with flexible materials. I have created this case specifically for FPV drone racing, but it can also be used in any situation that demands impact protection. The case provides comprehensive coverage (all corners and edges are protected) for a modern GoPro Hero model. The design was initially developed for the GoPro Hero 5, but it should be compatible with models 6 or 7 as well. Unlike my previous design, which was tailored for hard plastics and secured by a drone battery strap or similar, this one is designed to function as a single piece. The opening at the back of the case allows for easy camera insertion and a snug fit. If difficulties arise due to flexible material or printing settings, precise cuts on the bottom left and right edges of the back can help resolve the issue. With this case, you will have access to both the on/off button and the record button from both the front and back sides, as well as the lens. The microphones are also uncovered for enhanced sound recording capabilities. The bottom plate features a slot design to minimize weight. The "flaps" that protrude from the lens opening serve as impact protectors without interfering with recording, even when using super view mode. This model is designed to be printed in three separate pieces and then assembled using CA glue with an accelerator (https://tinyurl.com/ycndsca9). The case visible in the pictures was printed with black Sainsmart TPU.
