GoPro Hero 4 Frame (USB, LEDs and Buttons Accessible)
thingiverse
This is a Custom Frame designed specifically for the GoPro Hero 4 - and yes, it's compatible with the older GoPro Hero 3 model too.\nI took inspiration from the GoPro_3D Models found on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:507061), but unfortunately, that design didn't quite meet my needs due to some significant flaws. First and foremost, I couldn't easily access the USB port in full. To make matters worse, flipping the LCD on/off button proved to be a real challenge - nearly impossible to press, to be honest.\nTo add insult to injury, the existing clip designed to secure the GoPro was far too weak for my liking, and prone to breakage at the slightest mishap. That's when I decided to create my own custom solution by beefing up that particular section and adding an extra layer on the underside of the frame.\nWant a glimpse into the printing process? Be sure to check out this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8kEYU4eUyg&feature=youtu.be\n\nInstructions: Printing it is quite straightforward. I optimized the model for the best results using a 0.4/0.5mm nozzle and a 0.2 layer height - but you can easily adapt it to print with an even finer resolution at 0.1mm.\nOne crucial tip: make sure your printer's calibration is spot on, especially when printing the bridges. A more robust solution lies in using ABS as your material of choice, which would make those challenging sections print without any issues whatsoever.
