GoPro Hero 4 camera car for HO scale model railroads

HO-scale camera-car designed for GoPro Hero 3 and Hero 4 cameras requires custom trucks and couplers. Add your own trucks and couplers since different models may mount differently. The Kadee #158 (compatible with Kadee #5) coupler is used. The vertically positioned camera is held in place by its own weight. Place the camera car at the front or back of the train for optimal clamping. If placed between cars, use tape or a rubber band to secure it further if needed. Open cradle-sides allow the camera to slide sideways for precise lens alignment with the track. Boxes are used to hold weights for counter-balance when the camera is off-center. Having the camera vertically positioned means video footage needs rotation in post-production. The GoPro Hero 4 Black version uses 2.7k resolution and a 4:3 screen ratio. Video is then rotated, typically cropped to 1920x1080 resolution.
